On the cover of Meditation News we look forward to the 2023 National Conference where Revd. Dr. Mark S. Burrows will lead us through How the Light Enters: Contemplative Wisdom for Flourishing in our Broken World. The hybrid conference will be held at High Leigh Conference Centre and online from 2nd to 4th June. Mark led the SouthWest Retreat on the poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke in September and there is a review of that by Claire Benians in Community News.
It was clearly a busy summer with a number of retreats and events taking place. Pauline Steenberger writes about taking WCCM meditation and yoga to Greenbelt 2022; Phil Kitchen and Val Hilsley write about their experience at the Pleroma retreat at Bonnevaux in July; and Les Glaze reports on the Shallowford House Summer Retreat.
The School has details of the 2023 Essential Teaching Workshop in January and the Silent Retreat in the autumn, and Joanne Caine has provided feedback from this year’s retreat.
