Newsletters – 2022 Issue 3

The latest issue of Meditation News, the UK Community Newsletter is now available to download and read here.  The next issue of the WCCM International Newsletter is expected at the end of August and will be added when  it is available. Printed copies should be with subscribers in the middle of August.

In Meditation News the lead article is a group of tributes to Charles Posnett who sadly died in May; he was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Sarah Feaney our coordinator for the environment has provided a review of the UK Conference Touch the Earth Lightly and the date of next year’s conference is available.

In Connecting with Young Adults Julie Roberts, UK National Coordinator, outlines progress being made to bring young people into our community and Pat Hay looks at the new guidelines for teaching Christian Meditation in schools.  There is a review of the recent retreat at Ampleforth Abbey for people on the margins of society led by Terry Doyle.

Roger Layet reviews A Contemplative Christianity for Our Time by Sarah Bachelard which is a record of of her talks at the John Main Seminar in 2019.  Bob Morley looks at the life of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and gives us a poem Open Heart. There are updated Oblates and Community events and the contact list (which can be downloaded in larger font!)
