Dear National Coordinators,
Peace! I hope you are all well.
And I wish you a blessed Holy Week.
We would like to ask for your help in publicising our young adults retreat.
Authenticity and Vulnerability:
Meditation and the courage to be who we are called to be
Date: 28 Jul, 2026 – 02 Aug, 2026
Location: Bonnevaux
Over five days in the heart of the French countryside, a small community of young adults will gather at Bonnevaux — a place of rare beauty and deep peace — to explore what it means to live from the inside out. Through Christian meditation, shared silence, embodied movement, and honest conversation, we will journey together into the inner life.
We will sit with St Paul’s paradox: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Cor 12:9). Weakness, vulnerability, authenticity — not as obstacles to be overcome, but as the very doorway to transformation. Meditation teaches us that we do not need to wear masks. In the silence, we discover we are already held.
This retreat experience is an opportunity to deepen your sense of life as a spiritual journey. It will combine a variety of practices – meditation, contact with nature, prayer, body work, solitude, talks and exchange with young adults (18-45) from all over the world.
Please, we ask for your help on two points:
1) Spread this message in the local community (email, whatsapp, instagram).
2) Identify young people in your area who want to take part and need a scholarship (send them the form).

Text
“It was inspirational to witness and be part of the retreat. Fr Laurence and the team have gone back to the very heart of Christ’s teachings and embodied them in a radical way that casts off the dead weight of liturgy. My views on what religion is have changed for good.”
“My expectation was simply to connect with God in silence, perhaps in a stronger way. But I feel like I’ve found a new way of living in God. It’s a deconstruction of what I’ve always believed, and this fractures old limiting beliefs to allow God’s love to expand within me.”
“During this retreat, I felt so much love and safety that I could express my deepest feelings without shame. This gave me many insights including the insight that I do “grow” through persistent prayer and meditation. I also gained many new and useful insights around self-care. This week in Bonnevaux has healed me and I reap its fruits each and every day. I am so immensely grateful!”
“This retreat took place at an extremely timely moment in my life where I was in much need of community and being with myself to reflect deeply on how I have been caring or falling short of caring for myself to care better for others. The whole experience brought me a sense of reassurance that everything will be ok, despite the changes taking place in my life and all the chaos happening around the world. I left in peace and confident that I can be a better loving presence to our common home and to others if I take better care of myself.”
