Quiet Day – The Lazarus Lens
WCCM in South East Wales – Saturday September 28th
Life is change and change can challenge. What can you do when the foundations fall? The story of Lazarus, where grief, despair, frustration and powerlessness entwine, brings us into this territory but it also leads us out of it. We will reflect and meditate on this through the potent imagery of anointing. Our starting point will be Lazarus, his family – and the absent Christ.
The day will be led by Alison Dummer, newly ordained Priest and former Deacon in the Church-in-Wales at Llandaff Cathedral. Alison has a long-standing connection with Ty Mawr and has been an Associate of The Society of the Sacred Cross for a number of years. In 2019 she led a study day there entitled ‘Full of Grace’ – exploring Marian devotion as a gateway to grace.
