Essential Teaching Workshop – Online for six weeks from 25 September
The School Essential Teaching Workshop is one of the foundational resources of the WCCM School. Through a series of interactive presentations on the tradition and experience of meditation, participants reflect together on their own deepening practice. Designed to help you understand your own experience of Christian meditation in the light of the tradition as well as through the experience of others with whom you share the journey.
Participants also learn that one way to deepen their own journey is to share the gift of meditation with others. Different ways of doing this are presented in an interactive and friendly way. Each participant receives a copy of the book ‘Sharing the Gift’, with its varied resources compiled from many people’s experience of teaching meditation in different contexts.
Participants find it an inspiring and energizing experience. In the July edition of the newsletter you can read of participants’ experience of the recent residential workshop at Wistaston Hall. To make the resource as accessible as possible, we also offer it in this online format. Though a different experience, facilitators and participants alike commit to forming and sustaining a meaningful learning community together as they engage with the material throughout the course.
The sessions will be led by Julie Roberts and Mark Ball, on Zoom, on the following dates:
