Easter Online Meditation ‘The Great School of Community’.

Father John Main wrote in Word into Silence that, ‘in meditation we develop our capacity to turn our whole being toward the Other.  We learn to let our neighbour be, just as we learn to let God be.  We learn not to manipulate our neighbour but rather to reverence them, to reverence their importance, the wonder of their being; in other words we learn to love.  Because of this, prayer is the great school of community’.

During this season of Easter Cameron Butland will offer four times of meditation to aid a time of personal reflection.  The theme is to the mystery of Easter in relation to the redemption of community and creation. The format of each prayer meeting will be – a brief introduction, followed by twenty minutes of silence, and ending with a short bible and other readings, final prayer and the chance to make comments or ask questions.  Each of the four times of prayer is a standalone time of prayer, so you don’t have to attend all the sessions
